Agistment Services

At Eaden Equine Wellness Centre we cater for rehabilitation, long term and short term care. We have a fantastic network of equine professionals covering all areas including veterinarians, equine dentists, equine nutritionists, equine body workers and trainers.

We have three levels of care at our centre, all including weekly or daily hoof examination and trimming as necessary. Hay is included for all levels of care and a hard feed of Maxisoy and chaff with hoof supplements is included for Intensive and Intermediate care levels. If a horse has other specific dietary requirements while in our care, these feeds are to be provided by the owner.

Rehabilitation care

This is for high level care rehabilitation patients in loop paddocks and laneways where the horses are attended 2-3 times a day, medication administered, boots and padding changed, dressing changed, bedding and yards cleaned, feet examined daily and trimmed as often as needed. Care, hoof care, hay and a hard feed with hoof supplements is included. Medication cost extra. See other extra charges below.

Ponies – Galloways up to 14h - $100 per week

Horses 14.1-16.2h - $120 per week

Horses 16.3h up and Heavy breeds - $140 per week

Intermediate care

This is for horses requiring a medium level of care and are generally moved between a series of paddocks and laneways. It involves attending twice daily with rugs and hard feeds. Care, hoof care, hard feed and hay is included - Medication cost extra

Ponies – Galloways up to 14h - $65 per week

Horses 14.1-16.2h - $85 per week

Horses 16.3h up and Heavy breeds - $105 per week

Pasture agistment

Horses are at pasture, examined and fed hay twice daily if needed. Horse’s hooves are checked weekly and trimmed as required. Care, hoof care and hay is included - hard feed and medication cost extra.

Ponies – Galloways up to 14h - $50 per week

Horses 14.1-16.2h - $70 per week

Horses 16.3h up and Heavy breeds - $90 per week

OTHER CHARGES FOR ALL TYPES OF AGISTMENT:-

Worming - $20

Tetanus and Strangles 2in1 vaccination - $40

Massage Therapist - as charged

Veterinarian/Dentist – as charged

Owner requested Lunging/exercise $15 per 1/2hr session

Owner requested Groom and Shampoo $15 session

Special medication or treatments – at Cost

Dietary supplements and other feeds we use charged at cost or can be supplied by owner.

In times of drought assistance with hay is appreciated. Either supplied by owner or charged at cost.
